In our community, we can rent a newly renovated mobile home with monthly rent that is close to and lower than a lot of apartment rent in the area. The portion of the rent goes to build your credit. After you collect enough credit, you can use it to purchase a home in the park. It typically takes 5 to 7 years to build a credit for a home. 

When you rent, you don't have anything to show for at the end of the lease. You haven't saved any money. You start all over in a different place. With our program, the longer you stay, the more credit you build. After 5 to 7 years, the home can be yours. Afterwards, you just pay for lot rent (which is much cheaper than regular rent) and utilities.

Why do we provide this program? It's because it is win-win. Being a homeonwer has obvious benefits. It's better for bottom line because you are saving on having to pay high rent. You also feel more stable when you have your own place. Homeownership also benefits the community greatly.
